  On 13 June 1944 against the target Foret d'Andaine fuel dumps, this plane was hit by flak
in the right engine and gas tank. It dived out of formation and at approx 200 feet from
the ground Sgt Fox bailed out and was killed. The rest of the crew stayed with the plane
which 1st Lt. Moninger crash landed in a field near Tilly Sur Seulles, France.
