Welcome to my Little Bunker

This site is presently dedicated to a topic which I am particularly interested in. Namely, a study of the 9th US Air force during World War II.

US Air Force Take off on your journey around the 9th US Air Force from here 9th Air Force

This is the battle order of the 9th US Air Force while on its brief stay in England during the Second World War (1943-1944).

The lists in no way does justice to the depth of planning and logistics involved in setting up, running and moving a complete air force in a very short space of time.

It serves as a guide in understanding the scale of the operations and locations of individual units and forms a basis for further research.

This listing is not complete and should be considered as work in progress. Hopefully it is sufficiently detailed at this point in time for you to find it of some small value.
