covers the strategic planning of the 8th US Air Force which lead on to the
formation of the 9th US Air Force as a separate command. It is in the format of a daily diary. A point to note is that where no event took place on a particular day probably was due to poor weather conditions. This section also chronicles the unit histories, showing details of their origins in the USA, and their eventual disposition. |
